How do we help athletes and parents? REALLY!
So how do we help athletes and parents? By joining the combine, parents and high school athletes can now keep their own athletic profiles complete with video (imported from YouTube), pictures (imported from Picasa), game-by-game statistics, and endorsements. Our endorsements are how our athletes and parents "social proof" the information that is in their profile. "Social proof" in the combine is how you validate to college coaches that what is in your profile is accurate. (e.g., I played college basketball @ Thomas More College. If you have an interest in playing @ T. More, you can contact me through the combine to endorse your profile.) "Social proofing" is what gives you clout and increases your chances of winning that college scholarship.
Okay. So you have a profile and its "social proofed". Now what? The combine gives you the ability to contact over 20,000 college coaches across 35 different sports at the click of a button. All you have to do is start a campaign. A campaign puts your combine profile in front of the targeted college coach for their review. If the targeted coach reviews your profile, we tell you instantly. If the targeted coach, wants to know more, they will send you an invitation to connect via the combine.
But here is where we are really different! We have come up with a unique way to match our athletes up with colleges where they have the best opportunities to win a college scholarship. This takes the guesswork out of where to best spend your time in the combine. Let's face it, not all of our athletes will play a NCAA Division I sport. However, there are opportunities. As you update your profile, the combine scans all of our college coaches scouting preferences and historical recruiting patterns to update your list of recommendations.
It's that simple! read more
Testimonal : Kieran Story "The Introduction"
My name is Kieran Story, class of 2010. I was born here in Louisville, KY and am now a junior at Louisville Male High School where I hold a 3.0 GPA and am involved in programs such as Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA), Men of Quality and Black Achievers. I enjoy sports (football and track are my favorites), spending time with friends, movies and listening to music. I started playing football at the age of 7 and participated in my first track meet as an 8th grader. As a Freshman I had the honor of participating on our high school state championship 4x400m relay and was the only freshman on the overall State Championship Team. Over the last year I have participated on the state champion 4x100m and 4x200m relays and started as Corner and Running back in several varsity football games. I began my college search about 6 months ago by researching schools with flight and/or aircraft engineering programs. I’ve also looked in to the possibility of being a coroner. I know a complete opposite area, but the challenge of figuring out the why and how behind crimes have become a fascination of mine. My goal is to be able to find a school that offers a field I want to study and who wants me to be a part of their athletic program, but I know that if I don’t get the best of both worlds, I’ll still be OK. read more
